Seven Pillars Health Review
What You Should Know
Seven Pillars of health is the new offering by Tom Colbert MD who is a doctor as well as a Christian author. This book claims to enhance the total health of a person including the mental, spiritual and physical health. It talks about the seven pillars or components of health which are sleep, water, rest, detoxification, supplements, eating living food, exercise and dealing with stress. He advocates the practicing of each pillar for a week at time. He advocates a 50-day plan during which he claims to change your life completely along with your thinking. This 50 day plan is for Americans who he claims are the unhealthiest people in the world.

Pro’s
- Not too expensive.
- Emphasizes diet and exercise.
Con’s
- We all know the importance of diet, exercise and health. There is no new information given by Dr Colbert in this book.
- It looks like he has just recycled the information available in the old books and presented them in his book.
- He has got the attention of The Christian readers simply because of the approach of the book. However, a good diet, exercise, sleep and drinking water is a part of healthy living which is not restricted to any one culture. Hence his approach may turn off readers who donít believe in using any religion to get thin.
- The supplements and even the bottled water he suggests are only available on his website. Most of them are expensive. It looks like he is trying to promote his products through the book. It would have been a better idea if he would have suggested some over the counter supplements rather than just promoting his company.
- It looks like he is just trying to sell his products through the book.
Conclusion
The Seven Pillars of Health has nothing new to speak about. We all know exercise, diet; sleeping, water and detoxifying your body will help you to lose weight. You donít need to spend $19.99 to read about that! However, you donít need a book to show you that unless until you want to buy any of the supplements from Dr. Colbertís website. The information in this book is purely common sense which almost all of us know. However, what we are looking for is something thatís more suited to people of today who have varied beliefs and cultures. It seems the Christian approach is purely to attract and sell the book to the readers of the faith.
