What You Should Know

Pound-X is a weight loss system that requires you to keep track of taking four different types of daily supplements throughout the day. For some individuals this can be extremely annoying or they may forget to take some of their daily supplements. The manufactures claim that these supplements offer you a boost in energy while suppressing your appetite during specific times throughout the day, when you may be tempted to snack. Taking these four different types of supplements may aid you in reducing the possibility of enduring energy crashes between supplements. These four daily supplements are called Morning, Afternoon, Evening and Function. The first three are meant to be taking during those time periods and Function is designed to be taken throughout your day to aid in supporting the first three diet supplements.

Ingredients

Morning contains: Folate, Vitamin B12, Biotin, Calcium, Zinc, Proprietary Womenís Blend (Green Tea leaf, St. Johnís wort, yohimbe bark, cayenne pepper fruit, cocoa bean, ginger root, guggul oleo-gum-resin, white willow bark), Other Ingredients: microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, stearic acid, partially hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol, silica, magnesium stearate, polyethylene glycol, red 40, blue 2, talc, and titanium dioxide. Unfortunately, we were unable to find a list of ingredients for the Afternoon, Evening and Functional supplements of this diet program, with the exception that they may contain B Vitamins, Calcium in two forms (Folate, Lactobasillus Foregenes) and a proprietary blend, which may very well be a blend of various herbs, however it does not include the appetite suppressant Hoodia. The Function tablet contains Clarinol A-80 CLA or Conjugated Linoleic Acid.

Product Features

These products may be helpful for some. However, it does seem that these four supplements do not offer you anything amazing in the way of weight loss ingredients that can be found in other types of diet supplements. They have no high-powered appetite suppressant; however, they do contain some mild forms of thermogenic ingredients that may aid you in burning fat. They do offer some benefits of anti-oxidants as well as some stimulants, minerals and vitamins, which are basic to almost every other type of diet supplement ingredients.

Advantages

  • Each of the different supplements can be purchased separately at a relatively inexpensive price of ten dollars each.
  • They all feature a 3-month supply in a 90-count bottle, with the exception of the Function supplement that costs fifteen dollars for a 3-month supply.
  • Supplies can be ordered from third party representatives.

Disadvantages

  • It seems that either the Pound-X website is down, from technical difficulties or perhaps their products have been discontinued.
  • While it was up and running there was not any type of clinical or scientific information to support any claims made about the ingredients included.
  • There were no consumer testimonials.
  • Various reviews from other websites offer information from consumers who are not happy with their results of weight loss.

Conclusion

All in all it seems that you will have to take at least 6 to 8 of these supplement pills daily. For some individuals this is very incontinent. Pound-X seems to be a lot of unnecessary work when you can get all the benefits you want and need by simply taking a product that includes both an appetite suppressant and a fat burning in one pill or capsule rather than having to consume pills every few hours through out the day.

Top Choice for 2010: Avesil

Avesil is clearly the most promising weight control formula we know of on the market. After looking at hundreds of different purported weight loss supplements, Avesil was the most rigorously researched one that we could find. The foundation behind the Avesil formula was an original scientific research study that incorporated an incredible 284 previously published peer-reviewed clinical studies, many conducted in university research labs. All of the product claims made about Avesil are substantiated by this large volume of research.

Unlike many fad weight loss ingredients (hoodia, acai berry, etc.) which are at best supported by folklore and at worst by pop culture, Avesil is totally rooted in disciplined scientific study. In fact, two research trials conducted on human subjects, later published in highly respected scientific journals, concluded that the primary ingredients in Avesil resulted in an average weight loss of more than 3 times that of a healthy diet and exercise alone.

Customers will notice that the claims made about Avesil are quite reasonable and not the least far-fetched. Simply put, Avesil is a safe, healthy way to promote a significant increase in weight loss when taken in conjunction with a healthy diet and exercise. In today's market there is a shamefully high number of consumers who have been deceived by outrageous "no work" promises, manufactured customer testimonials and bogus before/after pictures used by so many marketers of weight loss supplements. Avesil promises to deliver healthy, reasonable, and significant weight loss benefits - all offered through the process of a risk-free trial, leaving customers with very little to lose (other than weight).
