HoodiaCut Review
What You Should Know
Hoodia Gordonii has been touted as the next best thing since ephedra when it comes to weight loss. Supposedly bushmen used the cactus to stop hunger when patrolling on long hunts. This story lead to the harvest and use of Hoodia in hundreds of weight loss supplements. Hoodiacut, created by Virkson Biotech, is a miracle according to the information found online.
There is an official website for Hoodiacut. The website offers pricing information and reference to clinical trials. There is no list of ingredients on the website and the only contact information is in the form of an email contact form. The last date the website shows it was updated was 2005.
List of Ingredients
Hoodia Gordonii, Green Tea Extract, Vitamin B12, Bitter Orange and Chromium Picolinate.
Product Features
While HoodiaCut is clearly named for the 100% Hoodia in the product, it is not the Hoodia the consumer should be worried about. Bitter Orange is the legal alternative to ephedra. This ingredient can cause some of the same unhealthy side effects as ephedra but has yet to be banned by the FDA. Bitter Orange can increase heart rate and cause heart related problems in some users.
The Hoodia and Chromium Picolinate are the least effective ingredients in the formula. Hoodia has not been proven to decrease hunger and many users feel the ingredient does nothing at all for their diet plans. Chromium Picolinate is another useless ingredient without positive clinical data proving its benefits in weight loss.
HoodiaCut sells for $39.99 for a one month supply. The capsules are vegetarian. Some users have complained that the HoodiaCut manufacturers send out automatic shipments of the product and charge the credit card on file without the consent of the consumer. This is a bad choice for a business that wants to establish trust with the consumer.
Advantages
- Information on HoodiaCut was easy to find online.
- An ingredient list was found online.
- The product is vegetarian.
Disadvantages
- Testimonials are not found on the website and the ones off the site are negative.
- There is no contact information aside from a contact us page.
- The price of the product is high for a Hoodia product.
- The claims of being a miracle weight loss solution are not substantiated.
Conclusion
The HoodiaCut product is not one we can support at this time. Hoodia is ineffective and Bitter Orange is dangerous for some people. We tend to support the use of products everyone can enjoy. This is not one of those products. Losing weight requires eating less calories and burning more calories. There are strong appetite suppressants and fat burners available to help the dieter lose more weight and these may be more effective than a product based on Hoodia.
