Hoodia Bites Review
What You Should Know
Hoodia Bites Candy Hoodia Chews are an appetite suppressing weight loss supplement that contains the popular ingredient hoodia gordonii. Hoodia Bites are interesting because they come in the form of a chewable, chocolate or lemon flavored candy, and are supposed to deliver the effects of the hoodia within minutes after consumption. The chews do not contain sugar, and have only 10 calories each. Hoodia Bites contain 250 mg of hoodia, which has a compound called P57 that is supposed to send a signal to the brain, telling the brain that the body is not hungry. This appetite suppressing quality could help eliminate food cravings and reduce the amount of calories consumed on a daily basis. The fast acting feature of the chews allows you to feel full immediately after you eat one, so food cravings can be eliminated as they arise, up to twice per day.
Ingredients
According to the official product website, Hoodia Bites each contain the following: “250 mg of certified organic hoodia, palm kernel oil, soy protein isolate, citric acid, natural and artificial flavors, soya lecithin, salt and sucralose”.
Product Features
Each bottle of Hoodia Bites contains 60 chews, which should be about a 1-month supply. The recommended dosage is 2 chews per day. About 5 minutes after eating a Hoodia Bite chew, you are supposed to feel full and satisfied, and the feeling is supposed to last for hours. There are no stimulants contained in Hoodia Bites, and there have been no negative side effects reported.
Advantages
- Hoodia Bites’ taffy-like form is a convenient and fast way to take a weight loss supplement.
Disadvantages
- There is no medical evidence that supports the claim that hoodia actually contributes to weight loss.
- Expensive, at $49.95 per bottle.
Conclusion
Hoodia Bites contain a relatively small amount of hoodia gordonii, just 250 mg. This is a small amount, compared to most hoodia-containing products on the market. Although the official website states that a clinical study proved that participants’ caloric intake was reduced after taking hoodia, the study doesn’t specifically state that the results were seen after taking Hoodia Bites. The website also does not encourage a healthy diet and exercise, in fact it states that participants in the hoodia study engaged in no exercise at all. It’s questionable whether significant long term weight loss can be achieved without a healthy, low fat diet and exercise. Additionally, Hoodia Bites does not contain any fat burning or metabolism boosting ingredients, so it occurs to the reviewer that there are many other products available that contain both hoodia and fat burning ingredients, so why choose this product? Finally, although the candy form of this product is kind of fun, the same craving-curbing results could probably be achieved at much less cost by eating an M&M or two a couple of times a day.
