Habits Of Health Review

What You Should Know

Habits of Health is a book written by Dr. Wayne Andersen, the medical director of the popular weight loss program Medifast. This book is about reaching your optimal health, which Dr. Andersen defines as being the best you can be with what you have. This book splits the journey to optimal health into 4 stages and customizes the plan to fit each personĂs lifestyle.

Product Features

Habits of Health blends exercise, Medifast meal supplements, and healthy meals and the result its a healthy lifestyle, which of course includes losing weight and keeping it off. The book suggests that 2-4 pounds will be lost each week on this plan.

This program increases exercise levels gradually as weight is lost, which will be beneficial to those who are severely obese and do not have the strength and energy to exercise. As weight is lost, people will become more active.

This book is available online for $29.95.

Pro’s

  • Habits of Health is supported by scientific data and the program was created by a medical expert.
  • This program is also safe for those with diabetes.
  • This program is not only an immediate weight loss plan, but it stresses the importance of maintaining weight loss.

Con’s

  • Habits of Health uses the Medifast meal supplement program, so those not on this program will have difficulty applying some of the advice in the book.
  • This diet may be too strict for some people. Dr. Andersen blames processed foods for most cases of obesity, so his diet plan is focused on whole fresh foods that do not contain preservatives and other chemicals. This means that grocery shopping will be more expensive and meals will take longer to prepare.
  • While eating 6 times a day may be better for the body, it is not practical for many busy people. Even if their boss does not mind them taking a few small lunch breaks instead of one large one, people will forget to bring their mini-meals to work and will have to eat out or order take-out.
  • Those that decide to not only follow the advice in this book but also the Medifast meal plan will be in for a shock when they try to make the pricey meal supplements fit into their budget.

Conclusion

Dr. AndersenĂs book Habits of Health has a great goal in mind. Unfortunately, people cannot be truly benefited from this book without purchasing meal supplements from Medifast, which is not practical for many people. We are disappointed that Dr. Andersen could not have written his book to stand by itself instead of using it as a way to sell more Medifast products.

Top Choice for 2010: Avesil

Avesil is clearly the most promising weight control formula we know of on the market. After looking at hundreds of different purported weight loss supplements, Avesil was the most rigorously researched one that we could find. The foundation behind the Avesil formula was an original scientific research study that incorporated an incredible 284 previously published peer-reviewed clinical studies, many conducted in university research labs. All of the product claims made about Avesil are substantiated by this large volume of research.

Unlike many fad weight loss ingredients (hoodia, acai berry, etc.) which are at best supported by folklore and at worst by pop culture, Avesil is totally rooted in disciplined scientific study. In fact, two research trials conducted on human subjects, later published in highly respected scientific journals, concluded that the primary ingredients in Avesil resulted in an average weight loss of more than 3 times that of a healthy diet and exercise alone.

Customers will notice that the claims made about Avesil are quite reasonable and not the least far-fetched. Simply put, Avesil is a safe, healthy way to promote a significant increase in weight loss when taken in conjunction with a healthy diet and exercise. In today's market there is a shamefully high number of consumers who have been deceived by outrageous "no work" promises, manufactured customer testimonials and bogus before/after pictures used by so many marketers of weight loss supplements. Avesil promises to deliver healthy, reasonable, and significant weight loss benefits - all offered through the process of a risk-free trial, leaving customers with very little to lose (other than weight).
