What You Should Know
Everslim is an herbal diet supplement marketed as a diet pill that is designed for moms to lose extra weight gained during pregnancy. The advertising spiel claims that itÃs a 24 hour weight loss formula that apparently supposed to boost your metabolism and suppress your appetite. They also claim that Everslim diet pills can help you lose weight 3.5 times faster than diet and exercise alone.
So are their advertising claims correct?
List of Ingredients
There are three key ingredients in Everslim that were used in a small clinical study to verify weight loss. These three key ingredients are Garcinia cambogia extract, chromium polynicotinate and Gymnema sylvestre extract. While the results in the study were positive, itÃs important to note that the dosage of each of the key ingredients was significantly higher than the dosages of the same ingredients inside the Everslim pills.
In order to achieve similar results to those in the study, you would need to ingest far greater quantities than those found in these particular pills.
Other ingredients found in Everslim pills are Griffonia, which may possibly increase serotonin levels and soy phospholipids. Once again the amounts included in Everslim pills are not significant enough to solely generate the effects advertised.
Green tea extracts and caffeine are also listed as ingredients in Everslim. While the weight loss effects and anti-oxidant properties of green tea have been long noted, caffeine simply acts as a diuretic. Fluid loss is temporary and is not the same thing as weight loss at all.
The above ingredients are listed in the day-time Everslim pills. The night-time pills also include passionflower, melatonin, valerian root and chamomile. Each of these extracts or ingredients is known to have sedative effects that can help you sleep. They donÃt actively contribute to increasing your metabolism or losing weight.
The only features notable enough to mention for the Everslim diet supplements is that the manufacturers have tried to include some ingredients that could potentially offer some benefits ñ although the doses theyÃve included wonÃt possibly give the results theyÃre claiming.
- Green tea is an effective fat burner and Everslim does contain a very small amount of green tea extract.
- The ëclinical studyà used to substantiate their wild claims uses the same or similar ingredients, but in vastly different quantities. The heavily reduced amounts of active ingredients means youÃll get far more benefit by saving your money, eating more healthy foods and walking around the block than by taking these pills.
While the Everslim product creators have tried to include some decent ingredients and have tried to support their weight loss claims by using evidential clinical trials, there is no actual evidence to support that these diet pills will help you lose weight any faster than other methods.
Everslim appears to be an expensive placebo that could be replaced easily ̱ and more cheaply Рwith a packet of green tea, healthy eating and a bit of moderate exercise.
