Advocare Review
What You Should Know
Advocare is actually a manufacturer of multiple “health and wellness” related products. To-date, they claim to have over 70 separate products for sale, including herbal diet supplements and multi-vitamins. Advocare also produce a popular line of skin care products as well. Advocare’s founding principle seems to be the use of only high-quality ingredients in all products. The primary five product categories that Advocare currently produces are: Trim (weight loss), Well (healthy nutrition), Definite Difference (skincare science), Active (energy supplement) and Performance Elite (seems to be nutrition supplements specifically for athletes.) Of course, for the purposes of our website, we will focus primarily on Advocare’s Trim line of supplements.
Advocare’s Trim products are the ones that have been specifically formulated to aid with weight loss. The Trim line consists of ten products. These include Fibo-Trim fiber supplements, ThermoPlus energy booster, Meal Replacement Shake, Max Appetite Control appetite suppressant and Max Energy energy booster. The typical Advocare product seems to retail for between $30-$40, depending on the product. We couldn’t find anything about free trials or a money-back guarantee offered by Advocare, which surprised us considering that they are such a large and well-known company within the health care industry.
Ingredients
Could not find ingredients for any products, but obviously they will vary depending on which Advocare supplement you are looking at.
Product Features
Advocare is a relatively well-known health supplement manufacturer that produces everything from weight loss aids to skin health aids. Within their Trim weight loss line, they have appetite suppressants, energy boosters and metabolism boosters, among many other products. It appears that one main active ingredient used by Advocare is Chitosan, which is a shellfish derivative that some individuals may be allergic to. All of Advocare’s products are available via the manufacturer’s website, which is convenient. Part of Advocare’s business model also involves having customers become distributors, similar to Avon’s famous retail structure.
Advantages
- Advocare has a 1-800 number of questions and complaints.
- All of this manufacturer’s products are available for order from the official website.
Disadvantages
- There is no full list of ingredients for any product, only active ingredients are listed.
- Some products include Chitosan, which is not suitable for any dieters with shellfish allergies.
- There is no money-back guarantee and Advocare’s return policies are not clear.
- Not all individuals may be comfortable with Advocare’s big push to turn users into distributors.
Conclusion
Advocare is an interesting product retailer. While we like the idea of a company incorporating lots of research and experience to produce different health and wellness products, it almost seems like Advocare is just looking to increase their sales network by offering lots of choices. If your friend is trying to sell you a bottle and absolutely raving about it, it could be worth a try, but it seems to us that there are other, better researched products out there with superior customer service policies.
